We are going to dive into [Are You Asking Yourself The Right Question?] and we'll focus mostly on the ONE EXCUSE that is holding you back from taking that next step to move your business forward.

This is something you are not even aware that you are making this ONE EXCUSE, but then, it’s going to be THERE, right there in front of your face, and when you are going to realize. Wow, this is something that is happening again, and I need to do something about it. At least, THAT is what my wish is that you realize, this ONE EXCUSE really is there and you're going to learn how to move beyond it. No matter what with this ONE EXCUSE, which I tell you about it in a minute, there is a French twist, in how we are going to eliminate it and this twist might make you feel uncomfortable. 

So first, we are going to identify it. One of the things that I have learned along the way is the more uncomfortable I can get and the more I can sit with that feeling of being uncomfortable, it allows me to do things that scare me. It allows me to move forward even when I don't have all the answers, even when things are really uncertain but moving forward gets me to where I want to go. Kind of like when I made the decision to move to a foreign country not knowing anyone or even the language or the American culture. 

Okay, so, are you ready for that ONE EXCUSE that's holding you back, slowing you down. Are you ready for it? Okay. I'm going to give it to you, so HEAR me out. So, the ONE EXCUSE is… “I don't know what to do, so I'm not ready to move forward yet.” Now, you might be thinking, I don't use that excuse. Oh, really? Are you sure about that, because it is a sneaky one.

At first, it actually might feel like the reason why you are not moving forward is because you just don't know what to do right now. But let me give you some variations of this ONE EXCUSE that is slowing you down. If you say, “I'm stuck so I'm not moving forward,” or “I'm not sure what to do next,” or “I don't know where to start.” “I'm not ready yet.” And to say feeling stuck is actually AN EXCUSE. 

Now, let me give you some other variations of this ONE EXCUSE. Like when you say that nobody's answering your questions, whether it's in a FB or if you have reach someone out to for whatever you do— to get help, if the people is not reaching back– you freak out. You truly are using that as an excuse for playing small, for staying small, for staying stuck.

So remember when you say: “I don't know what to do, so I'm not ready to move forward.” That is actually AN EXCUSE. But sometimes it shows up as “Well, I'm just not ready yet.” Now, see if you can see yourself in any of these example: Can you see the vicious cycle? It just keeps coming back to that idea of, “I don't know what to do,” “I don't know how to get started, so I'm just not going to move forward.” 

And that is what I want to address today. I told you there was a French twist here, right, because there is a solution to this excuse. This is something that you can applied directly to your own business, your own life, the solution is– are you ready? 

TO take an IMPERFECT ACTION.

You heard me right, you the perfectionist out there. You have to take an IMPERFECT ACTION. It is going to be messy for sure, it is completely uncomfortable, but totally liberating. Yes, this very simple solution. I like to share with you how it happened in my world, because I only share what I have gone through, done the work, made my mistakes, got uncomfortable, I come up for air, and I say, “I learned something. 

Find that one thing that you have been sitting on for a long time and make a decision. Maybe, you are going to blog once a week, podcast once a week, or do a video show? What is it? That is what I really wanted you to hear today, because if you are doing nothing, you have no idea which way to go. You are never going to have all the answers, but just go for it. So the trick here is you have to make a decision and take an IMPERFECT ACTION. It will lead to where you need to go.
