Bonjour and welcome to the MLM Trigger, I am your host Corine Arnaud and this PODCAST is to help you LEVERAGE Your Network Marketing Skills using the internet to grow your MLM downline.
Our story of the week is about " How She Turned Her Passion Into a Profitable Business" Julie started her journey to entrepreneurship as a blogger and writer. After a rocky divorce and unexpected pregnancy in 2014 that left her needing to build a profitable business quickly.
With no following, friends, clients, or other social proof, she knew that the FASTEST way to getting back on her feet was to build a business as a Funnel-Building Agency. To find the right customer who will advertise for her (through word-of-mouth referrals). She also knew that she wanted to work online from home.
The fastest route to cash was through my favorite route, offering done-for-you services in building funnels to make sales online. She only had one goal: To figure out who she would serve and what result she would give them. She would build them a marketing funnel to help them get leads and sales.
Who will she serve? She wrote down all the dream clients she would love to work with and look for the common themes among them. She searched who were the established coaches, course creators, entrepreneurs. who were her competition. The platform she was going to focus on for leads was social media like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and Pinterest.
She spent time filling out her work history, finding and requesting connections, and publishing content that show off her funnel knowledge on LinkedIn platform. She began setting up her first funnel. It’s a business-intensive funnel, and it will be the primary way she would create custom proposals for her clients. The whole goal was to get them to click the Book Strategy Call button.
She knew that she wanted to sell $1,000 business intensives on these calls, so she created an order form and order confirmation form that she could use to collect payment. She was ready for her first free traffic activity. Using Facebook deploying an “attraction” marketing strategy that she could enter Facebook Groups full of her ideal clients and responding to questions in a way that is so helpful that they can’t help but reach out to her.
She gave herself a goal to close at least one of the three discovery calls… that means $1,000 in hand for a business intensive. It’s important to get money in hand as fast as possible, not just for the sake of income, but because of the mental pressure it relieves.
Phase two of her plan began next. The business intensive was the first part of her service offering. Once she completed the two-hour intensive, she will be sending a report to the customer along with a high-ticket, done-for-you custom proposal. This means creating a pricing sheet and a “How I Work” document, plus a slide template to build out the funnel while we’re on the call.
From this point forward, every day, she repeated the process so there is always a steady supply of new leads and discovery calls. She mapped out 10 topics she could talk about for 5 minutes on her FB Live business page and focused on curiosity and value. Then she took her best 3 FB Lives and turn them into a Facebook Ad campaign. Since she was a funnel-builder mini-agency, she needed as much passive income as she could get, since a lot of her work was time consuming.
She also wanted to get affiliate commission on the software services she recommended. She created something that was valuable and free on the pain points she could solve. Then created a tool, a report to download as a FREE offer. She created a simple lead-generation funnel to advertise that freebie… then an opt-in page…a thank-you page with a video that invites them to check out her services.
Rather than just asking for a testimonial, she created an email form with a few pointed questions that can be compiled into a testimonial. Her goal was to make it as easy as possible for a client to give positive feedback.
One of the easiest ways to get new clients in an agency is with a referral network. There are two primary sources of referrals: colleagues and clients. In order to incentivize people to drop her name, she gave her clients some finder’s fee for referring her. As her visibility grows she designed a service-provider webinar that she could do live each week to establish herself. Her goal was to target her audience who’ve been watching her Lives.
She made an irresistible offer… Done-for-you services… and an up-sell.
She felt quite proud that she had created a full-time income in such a short time. She knew she had a good story, so she created a pitch on media sites and podcasts to see if anyone was interested in interviewing her. Her goal was to seed the idea for a course or book down the road on “How To Create A Five-Figure Funnel-Building Agency In The Next 30 Days or less”
