STORY WEEK with Tyler Shaule. What can you learn from his story and how can you improve your results. [An Obligation To Be As Profitable As Possible]

Our story of the week is about Tyler and his mission was simple: He wanted to help non-profit organizations launch profitable online fundraising to get noticed and got the resources they needed to change the world!

He was NOT going to spend all his time writing grant applications to foundations or looking for corporate sponsors. He chose his non-profit types and helped them with their own challenges when it came to marketing and fundraising. This is how he did to create a profitable online fundraising campaign for non-profit by making a big impact— even if they didn’t have a website, an email list, or any money in their fundraising budget.

He picked a compassionate cause, because he knew they were easier to create a donor-centered fundraising campaign for. Specifically, he wanted to focus on a cause that is child-based to get access to the programs and to collect video and photos. Focusing in organizations that work to create justice in the world and CARE for the vulnerable.

To build a raving online audience of like-minded individuals he went on social media to find the one who felt the same burden about the cause, and offer them a way to be involved by giving money and then sharing the experience with their friends.

He asked his audience 3 questions:

1. What is unique about your nonprofit?

2. What would go undone, if your nonprofit closed tomorrow?

3. Why do you give your money, time, or energy to this nonprofit’s mission?

He looked for common themes and repeated words or phrases and capture any stories they share with him. His job was to capture all the good work to create ONE message they could use to build an audience online. Many nonprofits want to educate the world on every aspect of their mission, but as a marketer, he knew that he needed ONE clear, easy-to-understand message. The first step was to find that message.

Example: 30 Days To Bootstrap A Profitable Online Fundraising Campaign For A Nonprofit That Is Changing The World

He did Live videos on Facebook to get the attention of people and tested his message to see what resonated with this audience and created a fundraising offer (one-time gift + monthly gift) to raise “seed” money for future campaigns.

His Goals was raising $5,500 in 30 Days for Online Fundraising with a monthly recurring revenue of $500. Each day he did a 10 to 15-minute broadcast about one of the most engaging content types and asked for engagement and feedback. Every 5 minutes he asked to SHARE the video so their FB friends could watch it. When he got his target audience size of 400 views his goal was to reach an audience of 100,000 like-minded people with this nonprofit’s message in just 14 days of effort.

The script was simple: Share with them the 30-day goal of $5,500 in online donations and finish it with: “Can you help us get started toward that goal today with a gift of $100 or a monthly commitment of $50?”

He knew that the offer was the key to an effective fundraising when raising money online. It didn’t rush it and tested it often and tuned regularly. However, once it was perfected— it EXPLODED and made a lot of money for the non-profit organization.

There are 4 Keys To A Compelling Fundraising Offer

1. A donor sized problem (We can’t solve world hunger, BUT we can feed one child today)

2. A price point that makes sense to solve that problem

3. A reason to give NOW

4. A thank-you that gives them a CAPE

With an audience of 100,000, it was easy to raise money fast. His strategy provided the opportunity for this non-profit to get their message in front of thousands of like-minded individuals and using the cutting-edge technology and marketing software.

The online campaign was a big success. He made this fundraising offer “evergreen” with ads that run over and over so the automated donor funnel will continue to build trust, change beliefs, and lead people to become donors.

Tyler’s experience in Non-profit Leadership had made him a millionaire. As a digital marketer entrepreneur for online fund raising in the non-profit industry, he believes that WE have an obligation to be as profitable as possible, because we have the BEST place to use all that money—a cause that we know will make the world a better place… He’s a speaker and sought after consultant for Nonprofit organizations across North America.

Thank you so very much for tuning in for our story of the week.
